Meet the People Behind Our Mission
We sat down with each of them to find out what inspired them to get involved and what this opportunity means to them. Read on to meet the team and hear their stories.
Carmella first connected with the Foundation through her law studies and was inspired by our focus on responsible contracting, inclusion, and meaningful social change. She shares:
"Studying Law has given me a detailed understanding of how legal frameworks, regulatory systems, and decision-making structures can serve as instruments for fostering sustainable and responsible commercial practice. This interest became even more personal during my time as a caseworker at the National Centre for Domestic Violence, where I supported women navigating complex and often intimidating legal processes. These experiences inspire me to contribute meaningfully to initiatives that translate legal and commercial insight into practical, real-world impact."
Carmella is most excited about contributing her skills while learning from diverse professionals across industries and building connections that drive lasting impact.
"WorldCC's Inspiring Women Program immediately stood out to me. Seeing a global organisation actively creating space for women to develop confidence, leadership skills, and professional networks made me feel that this was something I genuinely wanted to be part of."
Kushal discovered the WorldCC Foundation while researching global contracting best practices during law school. He was drawn to the idea that contracts can be more than legal documents – they can create social and economic value.
"Growing up near the Indo-Nepal border, I saw how access to good contracting knowledge can genuinely transform businesses and communities. The idea of making high-quality contracting knowledge accessible, especially in emerging markets, felt very meaningful and made me want to be part of a movement that humanises commerce and shares useful, implementable tools with those who need them most.
Watching my father run a retail shop and deal with everyday business problems taught me that legal rules only help when they are practical and easy to use."
Kushal is particularly excited about engaging with ESG initiatives in India and learning from a global community of contracting professionals, helping to bridge knowledge gaps and foster sustainable business practices.
"Helping WorldCC make high-quality contracting knowledge accessible, especially in emerging markets, through the Sustainability Clause Library feels like I can make a real difference.”
Florence has been part of the WorldCC community for years, and the Foundation’s initiatives inspired her to take a more active role.
"I have been a member of WorldCC for years, when I started to hear about WorldCC Foundation. Through the great initiatives launched by WorldCC Foundation, such as Commercial Awareness Program, World Sustainable Contracting Day, Inspiring Women, etc. people are connected and equipped with the tools they need grow both professionally and personally."
She is eager to contribute to research and discussions around how AI-powered contracting and sustainability can shape a more responsible and forward-looking commercial world.
